Breakfast at Ashden Lodge is a special occasion, served in our dining room or outside on the veranda, where you can ease your way into the day.
We love cooking and baking and it shows in the quality of our food. Whether you like a full cooked breakfast, freshly baked muffins, fresh fruit or any combination of the above, you can rest assured that you will never find a better breakfast anywhere in town.
For those guests who prefer to sit outside, read their newspaper and enjoy a quiet cup of coffee with a freshly baked muffin, we offer fresh Italian Roast filter coffee to start your day. As the man says, 'Life is too short to drink bad coffee…'
If you need to leave early and don’t have the time for breakfast, please have a chat to Jenny or Dizzy the night before and they’ll happily make up a breakfast pack for you.
Self-Catering Facilities
While Ashden Lodge operates on a B&B basis, guests are very welcome to use the Lodge kitchens to prepare their evening meal. If you would prefer to eat out in the evening, Jenny or Dizzy will be happy to direct you to one of the local restaurants.
For those who prefer their dinner al fresco, braai facilities are available on the veranda. Please remember to bring your own wood or charcoal though, as Denbigh tends to get upset if anyone nicks his supply…
